Therapists at CMHS are not paneled with insurance companies and do not accept insurance. By not going through insurance, therapists have the freedom to provide more flexible and personalized treatment options that prioritize the unique needs of their clients. This allows for longer sessions, a wider range of therapeutic modalities, and increased privacy and confidentiality. Furthermore, not being bound by insurance regulations enables therapists to focus solely on the therapeutic relationship without interference from third-party entities.
Therapists at CMHS are considered fee-for-service providers. This means that therapists are out-of-network with insurance companies and sessions will be 'private pay.' Session fees will be due in full at the time of each appointment.
Although CMHS does not accept insurance, many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits for therapy that entitles you to partial or full reimbursement of your session fees.
After each session, we are happy to provide you with a “Super Bill.” A Super Bill has all of the necessary information for you to get that partial or full reimbursement directly from your insurance company.
If you are unsure about how much or how often your insurance will provide reimbursement, please reach out to your insurance company.
